Introduction

Life can be busy, and as recent times have taught us, not without challenges. It can often feel like we are just moving from one stressful event to the next. Working in out-of-home care can also bring unique challenges. It can be difficult to try and support others when there is a great deal of emotion and chaos in our average day.
 
Can mindfulness help? The short answer is yes!
 
Join us for this interactive 2-hr session where you will learn more about the science behind mindfulness. You will walk away with some practical tools you can start implementing immediately. These tools can also support the children and young people in your life.
 
If you feel stressed, overwhelmed, or lacking in self-compassion- this is the session for you. Join our facilitator, Jacqui Jones, as she walks you through some simple breathing exercises to help reset your nervous system and take yourself out of survival mode.
 
ABOUT JACQUI:
 
Jacqui is our Training & Digital Learning Manager, and she is a trained mindfulness meditation teacher. Over the years has shared her passion for meditation with a large variety of people, including children, young people, teachers and parents. Jacqui has facilitated ‘Mindfulness for Busy Lives’ at the University of Sydney for the past 5 years and has consulted large organisations such as Westpac, the Raising Children Network, TAFE NSW and various other NSW government teams.
